TRACKX was developed under the multinational FAMOUS program, funded by the European Union (EU) Defense Fund, which aims to modernize the land forces of member states. The project includes participation from industrial partners and countries involved in the program.

According to Patria’s Vice President, Jussi Järvinen, the armored vehicle has already undergone extensive testing and is expected to enter serial production in 2027. However, the company has not disclosed which countries have expressed interest in purchasing it. The vehicle is intended to replace outdated models such as the M113 and MT-LB.
